The aloe flower is born in specific favorable conditions. Let’s see which ones.

Aloe is a plant that is also very popular as an ornamental plant. It is characterized by its green, broad, and thick leaves, but in some conditions it can also produce an equally beautiful flower.

So let’s see what to do when aloe does not bloom and what are the conditions for this to happen.

  1. Age of the plant: not all plants flower, but only the most mature Aloe plants (over 4 years old).
  2. Season: as with all plants, even for aloe it is important to respect its seasonality. In fact, aloe does not produce flowers throughout the year, but only in a certain period of time ranging from winter to late spring.
  3. Unfavorable conditions: In order for aloe to be in optimal condition to bloom, it must be placed in an environment favorable to it. Too much shade and humidity don’t help, plus, even growing in a pot that’s too small can make it difficult to flower.
  4. Location: The Aloe plant, in order to flower, needs a lot of sunlight. In fact, it should be placed outdoors during the hottest months – it can withstand temperatures even of up to more than 20 degrees.
  5. Fertilizer: Fertilizing the soil that houses your aloe can help you get all the nutrients you need. Therefore, give a natural fertilizer regularly, especially in early spring and summer.
  6. Decanting: Even completely changing the pot and soil can help the plant grow better. In the case of aloe, the best time to do it is in the spring, possibly with a crock pot and an appropriate size.
  7. Cutting the flower: it is not strictly necessary, however flowering is a process that can weaken or strain the plant. In these cases, then it is preferable to cut it by making a clean cut at the base.
