If you notice this detail on the leaves, these may be the reasons.
The spider plant is a very common plant even in the apartment, as it is easy to grow, known mostly for its long pointed leaves.
One of the most common problems is when the tips of their leaves begin to dry out and consequently turn brown. This can happen for a number of reasons.
Let’s see what they are and how to remedy them.
- Stress: If you have just purchased a spider plant or the environment in which it is placed has changed drastically, the plant may be affected. In these cases it is a natural process, after a few days of adaptation the plant will heal on its own.
- Water: When it comes to giving the spider plant water, it is essential to find the right balance. Too much or too little water can undermine health. For this reason, it is important to choose draining soil and give it water only when you notice that the soil is completely dry.
- Fluoride: it is a component that is very often found in tap water, and it is not suitable for the spider plant. For this reason, when watering, prefer distilled water.
- Temperature: the spider plant is a plant that adapts very easily to the interior and its ideal temperature is between 20-30 degrees. When temperatures rise, for example in summer, the leaves of the spider plant begin to dry out. In such cases, move the plant to a bright area but away from direct sunlight. Also spray water regularly on the leaves to keep them hydrated.
- Fertilizers: Fertilizers are beneficial to plants as they provide essential nutrients. In the case of the spider plant, however, it does not need high doses: prefer organic and natural fertilizers, which will be provided once every 3 months.
