Homemade cleaner for a stain-free and streak-free floor

Thanks to a skilful blend of ecological ingredients, this homemade detergent is not only natural but also gentle on your floors.

Here are the ingredients:

  • 150 ml of white vinegar
  • 60 ml of household alcohol at 70 °
  • 1 teaspoon of dish soap
  • 5 to 10 drops of essential oil of your choice
  • ½ liter of hot water

Mix all the ingredients well and then pour everything into a spray bottle. Mix well before spraying the resulting solution directly onto the floor to remove stains. For general washing, obviously prefer a bucket of water, increasing the dosage of each ingredient on the list. For the grouting of the tiles, all   you have to do is arm yourself with a toothbrush  soaked in dish soap that you are going to rub against the grout. You can also replace essential oils with ½ cup of lemon juice.

For hardwood floors, all you need to do is pour ½ cup of white vinegar into 1 cup of water and add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Then mix gently before rubbing the solution on the floor and restore its shine by removing stains. For a pleasant scent, add a few drops of essential oil of your choice   such as eucalyptus, lavender or mint essential oil.

– Natural cleaner for laminate floors

You won’t need to use liquid soap in this recipe. You will simply need to   mix 2 cups of white vinegar with another 2 cups of warm water   and then a few essential drops of lemon juice. Once well mixed, rub the ingredients on the floor with a microfiber cloth. Also, it is best to avoid steel wool because its abrasive texture could scratch the floor surface.

– Natural cleaner for vinyl floors

To clean this type of floor thoroughly,   pour ½ cup of denatured alcohol, ½ white vinegar and 4 tablespoons of dish soap   into 6 liters of water. You can also use liquid black soap or castile soap that is grated or powdered.

Mix thoroughly then clean the floor with the natural cleaner. Make sure you let the floor dry afterwards. It is important not to wait too long before drying because, although the vinyl is waterproof, water   should not settle on the surface.

For tiled floors, you can clean them with an all-purpose cleaner. In fact, stoneware or ceramic tiles   have a waterproof surface that does not allow water to penetrate.

If there are stains, first wipe them off by using a paste of a little water and baking soda on the stained area,   then wipe it off with a clean cloth  . Rinse then dry.

Then, in 6 liters of warm water, pour ½ glass of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of dish soap, mix and then use the solution as described in the previous points. If you’re dealing with stubborn stains,   use more baking soda   and then 1 cup rubbing alcohol when doing general floor cleaning.

If it’s cold and the ground doesn’t dry out, here’s the quick and easy solution to make it even in winter.
