Simple and inexpensive methods to eliminate weeds permanently

By choosing the right natural weed killers, you will definitely be satisfied with their effect against weeds. Here is a list of everything you can try.

– Dish soap, salt and vinegar against weeds

With this trick, the white vinegar  will take care of absorbing moisture  thanks to its acetic acid composition, while  the dishwashing liquid  will act as an absorbent. Depending on your terrain, pour the mixture into a spray bottle and then spray it directly on the weeds. Preferably, do this during sunny times of the day.

Normally, you should see unwanted weeds turn brown after a few hours. If necessary, spray more of your natural weed killer  to prevent weeds from regrowing.

– Baking soda to fight weeds

To weed your driveway, baking soda is  one of the  best eco-friendly weed killers . To  use this versatile product  for this purpose, sprinkle baking soda on weeds avoiding lawns and other plants.

– Mulch to eliminate weeds

To manage weeds growing in the garden or driveways, mulching is an excellent solution. Using a thick layer of bark mulch helps  suppress perennial weeds by smothering them.  And for good reason, mulch does not allow sunlight to penetrate the surface of the soil. Arrange them between your crops and your other plants.

– Boiling water to kill weeds

Superb organic weed killer, boiling water is a quick and easy way to eliminate unwanted plants. Be sure to use it on weeds  that are not near the plants you need to protect.

To kill weeds with this method, boil water and then pour it over the affected areas. Also, be sure  to approach the beak of the container to the root of the weed . You should find that it gradually fades before it dies. In order to avoid a possible regrowth, you can renew the application.

– Newsprint to smother weeds

To take advantage of this technique,  lay three or more layers of wet newspaper  over the weeds. If you care about the beds in your yard or garden, you can always cover your newspaper display with a layer of mulch or gravel.

– Manual weeding to remove weeds

Manual weeding remains one of the most effective methods of eliminating weeds. However, while it is relatively easy to pull weeds from small areas of raised vegetables and flowers, it is less so for larger areas. In this case, you would need  the use of a hoe . In order to remove weeds from between the rows of vegetables, it is still best to use a stirrup hoe.

– Salt to remove weeds

To use salt as a weed killer, start by sprinkling it on the weeds near the tiles. This prevents these weeds from replenishing more water,  which will lead to their elimination . However, since salt inhibits plant regrowth, it is best to sprinkle it at least 50 cm away from other plantings.

– Vegetable cooking water to eliminate weeds

Thanks to the nutrients released by the vegetables and the salt contained in the cooking water, it is entirely possible to use it to eliminate the weeds which  nestle between the tiles and the flagstones . Pour the water on the affected areas then wait a few days before seeing them disappear.

– White vinegar, a natural herbicide to fight weeds

To prevent the germination of new unwanted weeds, dilute  white vinegar  alone in an equal part of water then put the solution in a spray bottle before spraying it on the affected areas. This gradually dries out the harmful weeds  thanks to the acetic acid composition of the vinegar. You can also spray the solution between tile joints once a week to prevent regrowth. Of course, be sure to only target the weeds so you don’t damage your plants.
