You’ll need some ash to apply your plants, and they’ll be perfect again. The results are guaranteed – here’s what you need and how to do it.

Ashes on plants

If you have plants, you should take care of them. If we didn’t, they would even die soon after. They have needs and it is important to know and implement them, otherwise the plants would only survive for a very short time before they are attacked or die. However, this is not enough, because every plant is different.

Not everyone wants the same light, there are those who love the sun’s rays and those who love the shade. The same goes for water: there are plants that need to be watered frequently and others that don’t need a lot of water. The pesticide is therefore important to prevent the plants from being attacked by insects, mold or viruses.

Plant Care

Last but not least, the subscription should not be missing. This is crucial for a strong, healthy, and thriving plant. You can use many natural products as fertilizer for plants and today we are going to see how to make one with ash. Very little is required. Here’s what you’ll need and how to follow the next steps.

Ash on plants: the perfect fertilizer

As we have just said, fertilizer is important for plants and it is not necessary to buy ready-made fertilizers, which may also contain substances that we do not know. There are many ingredients that can be used as fertilizer, such as milk, eggshells, yogurt, onions, and many others.

Today we use ash. It is a nutrient-rich substance and is therefore excellent as a fertilizer. Here’s what you’ll need to make this fertilizer:

  • 1 liter of water;
  • 2 drops of iodine;
  • a teaspoon of boric acid;
  • 3 tablespoons of ash.

First, you’ll need a pitcher into which you can pour some water. About 800 ml, to which drops of iodine and boric acid can be added. Stir and add the remaining 200 ml of hot water to dissolve. Finally, add the 3 tablespoons of ash and continue mixing.

At this point, the fertilizer is ready to be applied to the plants. Use it to water them. In the winter season, it is enough to use it once a month, in the summer season about every 10 days. But now let’s see why it is necessary to use it and what benefits it brings to plants. Here in the next paragraph.

That’s why ash is good for you.

Ash is a natural product and nothing more than the product of combustion. It is rich in nutrients and among them we find potassium, phosphorus, calcium and also other minerals. Many also use it absolutely in “solid” form as fertilizer or in liquid form, as we have shown above.

Ash

Ash improves plant nutrition and can also be used on horticultural plants, as it increases their resistance to diseases or viruses. In fact, it also helps a lot as a pesticide by keeping parasite infestations away. However, pay attention to contraindications.

Indeed, ash is very alkaline and that is why it is necessary to check its pH level before applying it to the soil. If the pH is high, it is necessary to add acidic substances to lower it. And then it is also important to know which ash is used, as it is better to use only untreated wood ash to avoid harmful chemicals.
