Mosquitoes: There are many of them at the moment.
As mentioned above, mosquitoes are most common from June to September, but especially at a certain time of day. These are the months when they are most active, but we also see the time. However, as a general rule, it depends on the type of mosquitoes we are dealing with and, in fact, there is a difference.
For common mosquitoes, the time of day when they are most active is when the sun goes down and temperatures begin to drop slightly. So let’s talk about the end of the afternoon. However, there are others that are more likely to occur at night or at dawn.

So, if you live in a place where it is flooded with mosquitoes, you should consider disinfestation. This could be effective if done in the right timeframe and with the correct instructions of an expert specifying the disinfestation procedure.
It’s not as easy as you think, and the help of a professional can help. It is also important to close doors and windows so that the products used do not get into the interior. These can be toxic and caution is advised. But let’s also look at what attracts mosquitoes.
What attracts these insects?
Mosquitoes decide who to bite and choose their prey. This also happens due to a few factors, including:
- Blood type: In fact, they have preferences. One study showed that they prefer people in group O, immediately followed by those in group A.
- Carbon dioxide: They are attracted to the high concentration of CO2 in the air they breathe. The more you produce, the closer they get to you.
- Bacteria: If there are bacteria in your body, especially between your feet and ankles, you could be their prey.
- Sweat and heat: Mosquitoes smell lactic acid, which is mainly produced after exercise. Therefore, they are attracted.
- Pregnancy: Pregnant women produce more carbon dioxide and therefore attract more mosquitoes.
- Clothing color: Dark colors, including black, tend to attract mosquitoes more.
