The lemon and water trick to clean and degrease the microwave

A quick and effective cleaning of the oven can be done thanks  to the citric acid contained in the lemon . All you have to do is squeeze half a lemon into a bowl of water and add  some citrus zest to it, then heat the container in the microwave.  Wait a few minutes then once the steam comes out of the bowl, wait a few more minutes before opening the appliance door. You should notice that grease, caked-on food, and other soils on the oven walls have softened. It will now be easier for you to clean the walls with a microfiber cloth without forgetting the pleasant aroma of lemon that emanates from your appliance.

The trick of the wet towel to clean the microwave

An even easier method to wipe down the microwave interior more effectively is to put a damp towel in the microwave. Turn on the appliance then wait two minutes for the residue and grease to soften then wipe the inside of the oven  with a soft, clean cloth .

The trick of baking powder against microwave messes

Against the toughest stains and firmly encrusted foods , baking powder  is ideal. To use this common household product,  mix one tablespoon with water to create a paste.  Apply it to the walls of the device. Allow the product to sit for 5 minutes to allow it to loosen the microwave interior. Wipe with a damp cloth and let dry. Another technique consists in mixing in a bowl, two tablespoons of baking powder and 500 ml of water then placing the latter in the microwave. Heat for two minutes to loosen the fat on the walls. Then pass a cloth to clean.

Some common natural ingredients can claim to clean all surfaces and you surely have them in your home. Here are some tips based on them:

Water and white vinegar to clean the microwave

As for the lemon technique, fill a bowl with water by adding  two tablespoons of white vinegar  then put it in the microwave. If you don’t want your device to smell like vinegar, consider adding a drop of essential oil of your choice to reduce the smell.

Turn on your device by setting it to the maximum temperature level by setting the timer to 5 minutes. Then only open the door after 15 minutes before you find that all the baked-on gunk will have softened. Carefully remove the bowl wearing your protective gloves and then the turntable to clean it with a damp cloth. Then wipe down all surfaces of the device, being careful to avoid letting any liquid enter the vents. For the remaining stains, simply rub them with  a sponge soaked in vinegar water.

The sodium bicarbonate method to degrease the microwave

Using baking soda to clean the microwave comes in handy when you need to deodorize it. In a bowl of water still, add dishwashing liquid and  two teaspoons of baking soda  then place the container in a microwave then set it to the maximum temperature level. Heat for 5 minutes then wait another 15 minutes for the steam to soften the fat on the sides. Then remove the turntable to clean it with a damp sponge and then dry it with a paper towel or in the open air. Same for the inside of the microwave, clean it with a damp cloth.

Plus, you can rely on the power of baking soda to  effectively deodorize your fridge  and other areas of your home.
