How to make your own degreasing stone?

Also called clay stone, the degreasing stone is capable of removing all the typical kitchen dirt, including fats, oils and other food residues. In addition to being totally ecological and biodegradable, this natural product is also very effective    against stains that seem especially difficult to remove.  It also has the advantage of not containing toxic components.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this happen:

  • 1/2 liter of water
  • 15 g grated Marseille soap
  • 40 grams of white clay
  • 20 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda

To start, dilute the soap, white clay, and baking soda in a small saucepan filled with water. Mix everything until you get a homogeneous preparation before gradually adding the lemon essential oil. Then you will need    to solidify all the ingredients for 2-3 days.

How to use this degreasing stone for each element of the kitchen?

To use this degreasing clay stone, simply rub a damp sponge over the stone until you get a lather, then use it to scrub your pots, cookware, or even the stove. Although the degreasing stone contains white clay, it will clean surfaces without damaging them. You will notice that it is effective in removing dirt, grease and even tartar.

What elements of the kitchen must be cleaned with the degreasing stone?

To effectively degrease your electric range, be sure to unplug it first. Use a wooden spatula    to scrape up any food residue,    then finish the job by rubbing the surface with a sponge soaked in this cleaner. Let the product act for 10 minutes and then wipe with another damp sponge, making circular movements over the remains of fat. Finally, dampen a cloth to rinse, then use a paper towel to dry.

– The oven door

Still using a sponge, rub   the degreaser inside the completely cold oven, then on the glass door and on the external surface of the appliance. Leave on for 30 minutes    , then use a microfiber cloth to remove any dirt   and a paper towel to dry. Speaking of which, here are 8 effective tips for degreasing heavily soiled ovens and leaving them looking like new.

– The kitchen counter.

Clean the countertop of food debris with    a soft-bristled brush    , then scrub with a damp sponge soaked in the claystone components. 10 minutes later, wipe clean with a microfiber cloth before letting air dry.

Another homemade degreasing recipe

To make this recipe as a cleaning spray you will need 1 cup of white vinegar, 6 drops of lemon essential oil and 1 teaspoon of Castile soap. Vigorously shake the solution    to homogenize the ingredients together   and have a degreaser ready to use. While the vinegar will disinfect the surface in question, the essential oil and soap will break down the grease. Also, the spray method may be more convenient if you want to focus on cleaning.

As you may have guessed, a homemade degreaser is even more useful for cleaning multiple areas of the kitchen. Trying it is adopting it.
