Despite daily washing and regular cleaning, it often happens that unpleasant odors emerge from the kitchen.

This mainly happens when lime-rich water accumulates in the pipes, blocking the dirt that stagnates and generates bad smells.

So let’s see how to get rid once and for all of the sewage smell that can come out of your kitchen pipes!

· With white vinegar

White vinegar  comes first among natural and effective solutions.

This ingredient proves to be a real must in cooking, laundry and cleaning, white vinegar brings excellent results where many different detergents fail.

Using it to eliminate sewer odors in your kitchen pipes will save you time and, in most cases, money!

Just fill a bucket with boiling water and pour half a liter of white spirit vinegar into it.

Being careful not to burn yourself, pour the vinegar down the sink pipes and wait overnight before turning on the taps. The next day, the smell will be gone!

· With cooking salt

Among the many things that are never missing at home is table salt.

Used primarily to season dishes, this ingredient is used for many home-cleaning home remedies.

In the case of pipes, the procedure is the same as for vinegar: you will always have to fill a bucket with hot water and pour 1 glass of salt into it.

Carefully pour it into the pipes and wait several hours for it to work properly.

· With baking soda

Baking soda  is one of the stars of natural remedies!

Very useful to fight against bad odors in the kitchen or the refrigerator, baking soda is also very effective against odors that can come out of the pipes.

Just dissolve a glass of baking soda in a bucket of boiling water and pour it down the pipes.

You can also pour two tablespoons of this powder down the pipes, wait a few hours, then pour the bucket of water again.

· With citric acid

Citric acid is also excellent for cleaning and degreasing drains, and combating sewage odors!

The method is very simple: take 300 grams of citric acid and dilute it in 2 liters of hot water. Pour half into one pipe and the other half into another if you have two bowls in the sink.

If you only have one, halve the doses. Always wait several hours or overnight before turning the water back on.

· With lemon

Finally, there is a method that will also leave a good scent in the kitchen:  lemon  !

For those who love its intoxicating scent, this is probably the right remedy.

You will need to take the strained juice of two large lemons, pour it into a bucket of boiling water and run it down the drain.

As with the previous methods, it is important to allow several hours for this to work.

NB Don’t forget to strain the juice, in which case the seeds could damage the pipes.

Warnings

If you notice that the bad odor persists, it is best to seek the advice of an expert.
