As we are used to living in a consumer society, we all have the habit of throwing away what, on the contrary, could be useful in other ways. The problem is that we often ignore the thousand lives that an object can have if it is reused properly. The good thing is that this is the case with even the simplest things that we usually think of as useless waste. This is often not the case.
Garlic peels, for example, can prove to be very useful for plant care. Here’s how.
Garlic peels, don’t throw them away: they are “very valuable” | Put them in a jar and use them like this!

None of the garlic should be thrown away. In addition to the vegetables themselves, a real panacea for health and an excellent ingredient for seasoning dishes, the skin also contains substances that are useful for us and plants. While a garlic infusion is great for boosting metabolism, boosting the immune system, and detoxifying the body, an infusion based on garlic peels is perfect for preventing aphids and parasites from appearing on plants. Just spray it on the leaves.
What we propose below is perhaps one of the most effective and economical ways to enrich the soil of plants with healthy nutrients, both in pots and in the garden. All you have to do is save the garlic peels if you’re using this ingredient for cooking. Ideally, store them in an airtight jar (the shells will last a long time without rotting).
If the amount collected seems sufficient, chop the skins and scatter them on the ground. Little by little, it will absorb them and reap all the benefits, and your plants will thank you.
Garlic peels, use them for your plants like this: I’ve been doing this for years!

The pungent smell of garlic is fantastic in dishes, but pests hate it. For this reason, it is easy to get an excellent pesticide for plants with garlic. Do that.
In a mortar and pestle (alternatively a hand blender is also suitable), crush 4 cloves of garlic with the skin, a small onion and a chili pepper. The puree obtained must be diluted in a liter of warm water and left to rest for at least two hours. After the exposure time has passed, the mixture is poured in and the resulting liquid is poured into a spray bottle. Spray plants and flowers (great for roses) and you’ll see that the parasites don’t even come close!
Then you have understood: you do not need to buy expensive chemicals for plant treatment, which can be done quite easily and free of charge with garlic peels.
